We have done tons of stuff the last few weeks, school starting and a mini vacation to top the list. I will catch up this week, but it seems like the week is crazy packed already. But I had to write this or I would totally forget. On Saturday we took the kids to the lake, the girls went swimming and Charlie went fishing. Well when I got home with all the kids I took all the beach stuff out of the car to rinse it off and put it away - Including all the fishing gear!!!
We didn't use my van on Sunday other than the girls going out to get something out of it.
So today I got in the car to run to the school and my car smelt like something had died in it. I know I am not great about keeping my car spotless but I could not figure out what would be in the car that smelt like dead fish when I knew we took all the fishing gear out. Well I picked up my purse that was on the passenger seat and under it was an open jar of Power Bait! Apparently the girls where playing in my car yesterday and found the jar I had taken away from Audrey on the way home on Saturday (I know I CLOSED it on Saturday because she had been trying to open it then!) Ughhh.... So today I will be washing my car out because if you have never smelt Power Bait it may be one of the worst smells in the world!!!!

We are READY!
This morning as I was crawling out of bed at 6:30 I was kicking myself for making Dentist appointments for all 3 kids at 8:30. But... we have been working on our bedtime routine so the kids had all gone to bed early and were great about getting up and out the door.
The dentists went great! No cavities!!! With 3 kids you can imagine how it might be hectic (like I think it will always be) but we take them to a pediatric dentist who is great & totally geared for Kids (duhh!). All three kids get called in at the same time and there are 2 huge exam rooms with about 8 tables that look like surf boards in each one. Between the two is a huge game room full of video games and then there are toys everywhere so your kids can play once they are done or waiting for something. All the kids got examined at the same time and we were out of there in less than an hour! The Dr. took one look in Annie's mouth and said you better start saving up for her braces and then when it was Charlie's turn she told us that at his next appointment they will do a special set of x-rays and then refer us to an orthodontist because his teeth are really crowded and his top incisors won't be able to come in with out some help from braces!
After the dentist we stopped at Sam's club and got all the food we need for school lunches (capri suns, small water bottles, granola bars, snacks, massive box of sandwhich bags, etc,) then we headed to Target to pick up the last few items we needed like socks to wear with closed toed shoes!
I am happy to say though that everything is checked of my list to get done before school starts. We have a fun and semi-relaxing next few days planned. Tomorrow is Back - to - School night for John & I and then on Friday the kids get to go in the morning to meet their teachers. We have friends and play dates planned for the next few afternoons and a family dinner at Grandma & Grandpa's on Saturday. Before we know it Monday morning is going to be here!

All Ready to go...
This morning after doing the girls hair for church Charlie came up and said he wanted to do something new with his hair all by himself using the hair dryer - I will admit I have let his hair get long but the kids all have hair appointments this week to get cuts before school starts.
Charlie told me he loves his hair like this - he thinks he looks like a LION.
I spy with my little eye....
We were all in the car on Thursday playing I Spy & it was Annie's turn to pick something for us to guess. Her clue was it was something purple - really there were only a few things it could have been so after naming them all 2 or 3 times we all gave up and her response was - "my imagination is purple"
