Pirate?

So yesterday morning Charlie came to me and said "mom it is pirate day at summer rec can you help me make a costume!"

This is what we came up with in about 10 minutes!

So my mother-in-law gave me these chairs years ago when she moved to Wisconsin. At first they were a taupe colored. I spray painted them red years ago and then this week I gave them a new coat of paint and some pillows. I have the stuff to make a new wreath for my door so I will post a picture of the entry when it is all done.

Good times

Today the kids and I went on a summer camp field trip to the bowling alley. The kids had the best time and were so good all day! They bowled with friends, played games, ran an errand or two with me and then we went to lunch. I may be cursing myself by saying this but I am so not looking forward to school starting in a few weeks. I really do love the summer and having them home (okay maybe not at 9 after a long day but up until 7:00 for sure!!! - lol)


AND .. could anything be cuter than Audrey in those little saddle bowling shoes!

What do you do in the summer time...

We have been doing lots of fun things. Today Charlie had summer camp, Annie had horse riding lesson and then Audrey had a friend over and then we went swimming later in the day at the same friends house. Needless to say all my kids love the water even the newest little fish we have!

Happy 4th of July!

I put Emily down to get a picture and the dog walked up and licked her face - she was shocked and we all were just laughing!
