Life in the fast lane

We have had a fun and at times crazy week!

The high light was that Nan came to visit us last Tuesday and stayed for 5 days. We all enjoyed visiting with Gerry and the kids had a great time seeing Nan. Audrey got to go on a few of Nan's long walks and loved sitting in the stroller seeing all the sights. Charlie & Annie were so proud to show Nan all the things they do like going to the bus stop, park, Karate, Annie's preschool and the rest of their daily routines. Friday Gerry & I took the girls into town to Costco and got the girls Easter dresses and went to lunch. It was fun to have a girls days. Saturday morning while Gerry went to visit a good friend John & I took the kids to town to get Charlie outfitted for Tee ball. Charlie got new cleats and a baseball bag for his big season. He is on the A's this year and John and Dante are going to be his coach. Saturday night Gerry took John & I out to dinner at a nice restaurant outside of Jackson and it was a fun adventure finding it and a great time to be out visiting with just the adults.

Everyone seemed over being sick then Audrey has sprung the Flu on us again (at least that is what we are guessing it is - a high fever with some vomiting). She has been so cute lately, it seems that right before our eyes she is turning into a little girl. She has been waking up super early lately so I have recorded a bunch of Barney's for her and she will dance with "BarBar" as she calls him for half an hour or so until I have my barrings and am ready to start the day.

Charlie is about to loose his first tooth - it is barely hanging in there! He is also reading really well. We were watching the kings game one night last week and he asked John if the Kings had a player named Salmons. Sure enough they do and he told us he knew that because he read the jersey!

Annie is now walking everywhere on her toes. Last week they twirled in Ballet and since then she is walking En Pointe! Annie has been in a "I won't wear it if I don't think it is cute enough phase". We are already having serious battles about what she will and won't wear. Last week it was overcast and she insisted on wearing one of her little sun dresses and jelly shoes. It can be cute at moments that she really has an opinion on what she likes - just not when we are in a hurry to get out the door.
